The all-new Cadillac CTS is one of GM's most important new 2008 models. While we wait for the V-badged version of the CTS, Cadillac has revealed a stop gap model.
The interior and exterior of the CTS Sport concept have been pumped up and the horsepower has moved up for 4 horses to 304 thanks to a free flowing Corsa cat-back exhaust.
The exterior of the concept features a revised hood, new front and rear fascias, a new spoiler, and revised headlights. The interior features Recaro seats and carbon fiber trim.
The CTS Sport concept will be officially unveiled this week at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Hmmmm, how much more would the sport run for at retail? I can see the CTS flying off shelves already, but if this sport package is ten thousand more, it may only hit limited numbers... if its a grand more though than the normal CTS won't sell for crap anymore. I guess we will wait and see.

I am really impressed at the turnaround at Cadillac. The CTS was/is a viable domestic alternative to the BMW 3 series. The Sport package should sell well (if priced right).

Awfull, a flying brick. They have lowered the grill, Audi-style, and made the front out-off plastic. Way to go...
Apparently, GM has only one color for 2008. Grey.

I like it. The design is not the 'run of the mill' jellybean or egg style that currently pervades the market. It's not afraid to be different. It's sharp edged and angular, like a weapon, a fighter jet. And BTW, fighter jets have great drag coefficients. The engine is a sweet revving puller with direct injection, and car magazine test drivers liked the way it handled at Nurburgring. The interior design and materials are upscale, and Cadillac build quality is pretty darned good lately. This is one of the cars that can turn around all the negative hype for GM.

Kell: Not if everyone decides to judge a book by its cover. I count 2 posters here who have disqualified it based on: "I saw a picture of it once and I hate GM and/or American cars." Real nice, people. I didn't see you driving one at Nurburgring, Rene. SVT, why don't you look at a full size version of the image? Click on it. Look closely. What 90s high tech futuristic background are we referring to?

Wow I saw the Cadillac CTS Concept at the Chicago Auto Show. I could have watched that thing spin for an hour. Picture of it here doesn't do it justice. Plus you have to check out the interior. These are expected to only run around 40-50, and great quality. But seriously people. I bet none of you have actually seen the car except for the picture here. So don't say it doesn't look any different, or is a horrible car. This was my favorite (non-exotic) car next to the Chevorlet Corvette Z1 and the Dodge Viper at the show. (I know the Viper hasn't changed much but it is still a sweet car with a custom paint job)
