The Acura Advanced Sports Car Concept didn't exactly receive the best reviews, so Honda decided to go back to the drawing board. Honda has already announced that the official launch of Acura in Japan has been pushed back two years and the expected launch of the next NSX has been pushed back to 2011. Well now it is being rumored that Honda may surprise everyone with a revised NSX concept at the Tokyo Auto Show.

Winding Road is predicting that Honda may pull the wraps off the new concept at the show as a challenger to the Nissan GT-R and Lexus LF-A concept. Details of the new car remain scarce other than the fact that it will be powered by a V10 engine.

Gary:

I hope they release something sporty at some point, their lineup is pretty hum drum now.

Jason:

It's smart of them to wait until Nissan unveils the new Skyline, at least to gauge the performance, price, and features. However, If Honda doesn't have anything capable of beating the competition, then this gamble may not pay off. Especially if Honda continues to price the NSX above $65k. It's suprising the previous NSX lasted so long, given its performance was outdated ten years ago. Well, for the price it was outdated.

John:

It would be pretty cool if Acura came out with a front engine GT car. ANY RWD sports car for Acura would be good, they need to redefine their image b/c its currently a lackluster brand.
