Yesterday Chrysler announced a recall of 77,000 Chrysler Sebring Convertibles and Dodge Avenger sedans due to door latch problems. 2008 Avenger sedans are also being recalled due to faulty fuel tank retention straps that could break and cause fuel to leak out. Now Chrysler has announced that 102,000 Avengers and Sebrings can catch on fire if the fan motor comes in contact with engine coolant.
I guess if you own either a 2008 or 2007 Avenger or Sebring you can expect quite a few letters from Chrysler. For now be careful and make sure you where your seatbelt and carry a fire extinguisher.

Wow. The first one was actually qiote OK design wise.

The Sebring is just an older chassis version of the C-Class Mercedes. But whatever. Chrysler sucks anyway

@Scott:
You are right. I rather have a company recall for a potential problem, then not. All companies have recalls. That goes across the board US,Japenese, Korean, German, Etc. So, it is a little inconvenient. Better than having your car in a burning heap.

I'm surprised that they sold 77,000 of those monstrocities. Good for Chrysler getting this problem fixed, but man is that a nasty looking car.

Chrysler should in good faith get out of the automotive bussiness, The only value in a Chrysler product is in scrap iron at the salvage yard. If you buy a new Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep you are a stupid idiot knowing that they all are junk from day one with nothing but problems and safety issues that can kill you. Check out the highway safety web site to see how bad they really are.
