Honda just officially released the all-new 2008 Honda Fit last week and now we have the first photos of the Mugen version.
From the few photos we have of the Mugen Fit we can tell that the revised car gets new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, a new roof spoiler, alloy wheels, new gauges and a sports exhaust. A stiffer suspension is also expected. It is not know if there are any changes to the small 1.3L or 1.5L engines.
Expect more details in the coming days as the car will officially be unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Show this week.

I hope they at least put the 1.8 from the Civic in this thing. That would be a fun car to drive. K20 and I'd be sold, looks aside.

Just slap in the 2.2 from the S2000. 9K RPM here we come. Who-hoo, looks like the 1978 Mustang II Cobra II theory- slap crap on it to move out the old model. Of course, this is a decent car underneath, not a Pinto with a sex change.

The 2008 Honda Fit shows that small and efficient can be cool too. It looks really nice. It is like a pocket rocket.

I like the idea of the Mugen Fit. The import car scens started out with tuuners putting Mukuni carbs on old Civics. I think the Mugen Fit is returm to the old tuner days

Honda really ought to bring some of these into the states for sale off the show room floor. It would attract a lot of attention to the Fit which has gone largely unnoticed. It is a decent little car that stands to benefit from gas prices and people who want a "commuter scooter".
