The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has just given the 2008 Mustang Convertible five stars, its highest safety rating. This is the first convertible in history to receive such a rating.
The NHTSA, tests the cars ability to withstand front-end collisions, side-impact collisions and rollovers. The Mustang received a five-star rating for front crash safety for both the driver and passenger as well as five stars for side impact for both front and back passengers. It also received a perfect score in the rollover tests. The Mustang's extensive list of standard features helped it achieve the rating.
For 2008 Ford added standard seat-mounted thorax side airbags. The Mustang also has Ford's trademarked Personal Safety System.

Why would Ford trademark "Personal Safety Safety", that just sounds stupid.

"Personal Safety System"
Also, this must be false info right? I mean, this is Ford and we all know that Ford doesn't make one single good product. Their is no way that Ford has increased quality at all right? Come on I know there are some Ford hating fanboys that have something to say!

No, he's just saying it sounds g*y as f*ck. Just like all the GM cars had to have ABS badges on the *ss and wheels anouncing it like it's the holy freaking grail ! That's just how the Shrinking 3 are, they have to self-promote a feature as if they're gods for releasing it (years late usually). GM's 250'ish HP "high-feature" 3.6L is a perfect example; it has nothing over all the imports 3.0L, 3.2L and 3.5L's, yet they call it "high-feature" like it's something unbelievably bad-ass.

It just seems very petty, akin to Comcast cables "It's Comcastic!" or the oil corporations commercials on the cable news channels "We've invested $5 billion into alternative fuel research over the last 8 years, yada yada..." yet they don't mention that they profit something along the lines of $375 billion each and every year.

Noya,
I wasn't really referring to the little title, I was talking about it being a safe car. I was simple correcting his spelling mistake which he quoted, which was probably really a problem in the article and was probably spelled that way in the article.
My point was Ford did something positive and that no matter how many good things Ford does everyone just continues to bash them. I think Ford has made alot of progress but has received VERY little recognition for it. Everyone just continues to say Ford sucks and hardly anyone even reads what they are doing. They just live by an old standard and don't really care to pay attention to the facts today. It's Ford hating fanboys..... at least that is the way it seems to me.
