I thought the movie was alright; I just didn't like the fact that it was sorta a big commercial for chevy/GM.
I mean all the cars where GM. All the bad guys where not GM made. Wonder how much GM paid to be in the movie. :) Bumble Bee should have been a VW Beetle.

VW (which also includes Porsche) does not promote violence, thus the reasoning as to why Bumblebee was not his original self...the VW Bug…sad, but true as to the reason behind many “transformed” characters within the movie.

As Jay said, VW would not allow Bumblebee to be under their badge, thus the brand change. And yea, as much as I disliked the "in your face" add campaigning (I worked on the movie and did some of the bots) it was a pretty fun flick. Can't wait for the HD-DVD and Transformers 2 =)

it will probably look like crap on HD-DVD, since most of the discs i have seen havent looked better than the standard DVD.
This is why Blu-Ray is going to kill HD-DVD, even Speilberg is pro blu-ray, surprised he didnt have a say so in it being the producer of the movie.
Spiderman 3 will look great on Blu-Ray next month... plus it wasnt such a big promotion movie like the Transformers was... sorry, but all those crappy GM vehicles needed to go. Doesnt make me fear a transformer when its originally a Soltice.. a total chick car.
