BMW has just announced the 335i is going to get all-wheel-drive, which actually makes it faster than the rear-wheel-drive version. Infiniti is likely to make AWD optional on the new G37 coupe to keep it competitive with the 3-Series coupes and the upcoming Audi A5/S5.
According to its communications manager Tim Gallagher, Infiniti dealers and customers have been asking for an all-wheel-drive version of the coupe for some time. The chances of the AWD coupe are likely, but the coupe hasn't been confirmed yet.
Infiniti recently announced that AWD will be optional on the 2008 M45 sedan.

It's about time. With everyone else (who matters) offering AWD, why not make a sport coupe that can not only be driven in the North-East and Northern Mid-West during the middle of Winter, but that is also faster than the same car with RWD (btw, love my G35x sedan)?

I'd rather have the quality, ride and style of the G37 over the BMW even with just rear wheel drive.

Hope they don't also get the BMW's ride flat tyres...rough ride, and so expensive, its killing used car sales.
Just saw a G37 in a dealership last Friday...they are wide, mean and low, look awsome in person, really, really sporty.

I'm with you about the negatives of run flat tires. They are expensive and can't easily be repaired. I'll take a conventional tire any day.

I don't have run flats, but I they cant be much more than the standard high performance tires on my G35 coupe. besides, with the stacked tires on the coupe, especially with the 18" wheel package, you can't drive with a spare on the rear wheels too far b/c the stability system goes nuts.
