Honda has released the pricing for the all-new 2008 Honda Accord Sedan and Coupe that go on sale this month. The sedan goes on sale on September 12th and the coupe hits showrooms on the 20th.

The base Accord LX sedan with the manual transmission starts at $20,360 and the base Accord LX-S coupe starts at $21,860. On average the pricing has increased $600 bucks although over $1,400 in standard equipment has been added to the new models.

So far the reviews of the new sedan have done well with it out performing the best-selling Toyota Camry.

Here's the breakdown and photos of the new Accord:

Noya:

And remember people, you want to pay INVOICE, not MSRP. Only a sucker pays retail pricing.

I'm sure insufficient interest probably had a lot to do with it, but it looks like they dropped the 6MT from the sedan... the only Accord I was interested in buying, though right now it'll be about 3 years until I'm ready for that purchase, so maybe it'll come back in a refresh. Or if I never care about back seat passengers again, I'll buy the coupe... (entry and exit more important than headroom and legroom in my opinion).

joe:

i saw the 4-door parked in front of a hotel where they were having a press event. they look way cooler than a camry.

Jim:

I dunno...I like the look of the Camry better than this Hyundai/BMW mix. The rear end is so...blah, and the mini Ridgeline grill on the sedan would look better AFTER a crash. The styling just looks downscale compared to the current car.

rene:

yes, it will bore them to death

WS:

Good luck getting any Honda at invoice...this ain't Chevrolet, man.

Scott:

2-300 over invoice can be done easily with a Honda. They are all about volume. Supply is not an issue at this time.

Mike:

I am kind of sad. I like the sedan design more, but it seems the projector headlamps are only available on the coupe? If only we could get them on the sedan, I would buy one.

John Campi:

The coupe is a very nice design and will do very well. The styling kind of reminds me of a BMW coupe, but the execution is better. Honda will have a winner in their lineup on this model. Good looks and a stellar quality reputation should make for great sales.

Eddie:

still looks terrible:
the front is a cross between a 2000 Toyota Camry and a 2003 Nissan Altima, the rear is a Saturn Ion/Honda Civic mashup, and 20k? I was a Toyota-guy to begin with, and have always regarded Hondas as being designed better, but this is abominable. Then again, I don't like the current Camry either. If my family buys a new sedan, it'll be a Nissan Altima.

Mito:

This Hundai look great, I though was a Honda. Ohh, I'm sorry is a Honda o my God.

Andrew:

Get over people!!!!!

There is nothing wrong with this car. It is a nice looking car that is contemporary and stylish.

If you don't like the looks of this car, then buy something else.

Can't wait to Test Drive this car when it comes out!

rene:

yes, for those that want to upgrade from their Corsica's and Beretta's, THIS IS A GREAT CAR !!!

Diesel:

No, the new Mazda 6 is contemporary and stylish. This isn't.

jon:

This is an enthusiast website - so of course the new accord is going to get bashed on looks. But regardless of what we all think, the new accord will sell very well, period. People will always pay good money for a Honda - regardless of how "bland" it looks.

SEALBoy:

It doesn't look bad, but the front has a significant resemblance to my Hyundai Sonata.

Jessica:

I have been searching for the invoice price on this car since the week it came out. Apparently they aren't releasing it yet, but does anyone have the scoop?

Got one of these v6 EX L with Nav, and love it! Drives like a dream, the controls are intuitive and paid 300 over invoice. Definitely an excellent buy, gas mileage in the city is around 25 too.
