The all-new Honda Fit is set to be unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Show later this year, but the first photos of the little car have already leaked.
Before you say anything about why this car is already being redesigned, remember that the Fit/ Jazz had already been on sale for a few years before it came to the US in 2006.
The car features a better front end than the current generation. Let's hope that cool sunroof makes it to the US. The US should get the new Fit by the end of next year.

I have always like the introduction of the Jazz/Fit to the NA market. As the Civic has grown in size and the Accord getting bigger also, the Fit at least fills the gap the Civic and Accord are leaving behind.
I have driven the current version of the Fit and find it responsive and well appointed. For someone who lives in a City with linited parking or heavy traffic this car makes since. This car also fits the bill for someone looking for a commuter car as a 2nd car.
As for safety, It will depend on the object that is comming toward you or you are going toward. You might not be walking out of the car if a MiniVan or SUV hit you.
I know car manufactures are trying to push bigger cars if you are looking for gizmos and technology, but Honda should really think about adding Bluetooth, MP3, NAV options to th is Car.
They should make it look like a fully loaded Accord with Leather seated surfaces.

The steering wheel is on the right side, I'd assume that means it's an overseas model...

I thought it was called Jazz. In any case, it's got nothing on Yaris. Toyota ftw :P

No, its the first move us Brits are making in response to the Boston Tea Party. We want our country back.

Not too bad actually, I will say this is a step forward from the last Fit, a bit edgier looking. Now if they would offer a 2.0 iVtec option I'd consider getting one.

Gary,
WHY???????
This is a basic commuter car. This car isn't marketed to be used on the HWY for long distances. Also the car is very light compared to a Civic or Yaris.
..... Please clarify and justify your want for a larger engine.
I would hate to find out you have Head to Hand Disease.....
Thank you,

Andrew:
Because I like fast cars, not slow commuter cars. Some tuner in California already dropped the K20 from the RSX into a current Fit and the thing runs 13 second 1/4 miles. Nuff said.
The very fact of it's light weight and small size make it perfect for a little track demon if it had a decent motor in it.

they should have an option to add a wing on the back of the RS. The back look hideous from side angle. needs to be balanced...

If everyone drove a honda, we wouldn't need mechanics anymore. Those cars blow every manufacture away, too bad our american cars suck..
