Saab is still in business? Does anyone even buy Saabs? Here's an idea, since Chrysler group is free from Mercedes, maybe they should pick up Saab from GM so at least they would have a European division. Besides, GM already has Opel, why they have Saab I have no idea.

Saab is only in trouble because GM desperately tried to "Chevrolize" them. That's seen most embarrassingly in that awful Trailblazer clone, the 9-7 X. Everything from the A-pillar back is clearly Chevy. GM is just now waking up to the fact that people aren't going to buy luxury cars with Cobalt guts. If GM allows Saab to rediscover their own niche, and allows them some engine and design leeway, Saab will definitely be back.

Saab is not a profitable unit for GM. They don't sell many cars at all. We already know that Saab has been on the chopping block at GM for some time.
Saab's were once interesting and unique vehicles. Now... not so much... The interiors were 'funky' for the 80's and 90's, but now, there is just nothing funky about them at all.
Saab just needs to die, or get interesting fast.

300HP+ front wheel drive??? Torque Steer?
The 9-3 looks great just needs rear wheel drive or AWD.

You can combat torque steer. Ideal way might be equal-length CV halfshafts. But there are other things they can do.

There wont be torque steer on this baby. It has the new 4X- 4-wheel drive system that the reviewers say are fantastic.
Maybe Saab is on the right path now.
If the only make a gearbox that holds together, that is....

Looks like Saab is back in business. What would be required is to build a momentum and keep it going.
