It is being reported that Land Rover is working on a new version of the Freelander/LR2 SUV. The new version will seat 7 passengers and will be sold alongside the 5 passenger version within 18 months. The new version is being designed to keep up with increasing competition in Europe where multi-seat SUVs and wagons are on the rise.
According to AutoExpress, the SUV will feature two removable seats behind the middle three passenger bench seat.
Land Rover's larger LR3 (Discovery) SUV also offers three rows of seats, but it's price has jumped up considerably from the previous model.
It is also being rumored that Land Rover is working on a new SUV that is smaller than the current LR2.

This company is still around?! I just shake my head when I see these vehicles on the road...what a waste of money.

So is Ford rebadging the RAV4? To me it looks more like a RAV4 than the Escape (Land Rover is owned by Ford). I really wish the car companies would stop making identical cars and changing the grill.
It actually is sad, Ford doesn't have anything great to offer. If you look at their line-up. Look at it and and ask yourself, is there a car or truck thats is so cool that you just have to have one?
With a boycott going on against Ford and the troubles they are in, and especially with their "Bold Moves" campaign, you would think they would go a bit more extreme with the styles. But it looks to me they are doing the same thing just with a new slogan and hoping the marketing will sell the cars.
Killing the Taurus was a huge mistake, they bring it back and try making it into an SUV as well. Lame. (I will admit the new Tarus sedan is nicer than the old one, but is still boring)
The Fusion looks like they copied the design from Caddy.
The rest of the line-up is just kind of boring or ulgy.
If Ford wants to get out of this they truely need to make some "Bold Moves" and try to end the boycott.
