The Mazda5 has been on the market for three years, so it is time for a refresh. Spy photographers have caught some photos of a 2008 prototype with a slightly revised front end and new rims.
The obvious changes are new headlights, a restyled front bumper, modified taillights (LED) and new 17 inch rims. It is not known there are any changes to the 2.3L 4-cylinder engine, although it is rumored that the transmission will move up to a five-speed auto. There will also be a few changes to the interior as well.

Man, I've always loved the Mazda 5. It's a shame that my family doesn't need all the space that a minivan (or, in this case, anti-minivan) provides. I am a Toyota guy, but if I ever need to buy a minivan, the 5 will be on the top of my list.
I'm loving those wheels, too. Toyota (and a lot of other manufacturers) needs to learn from some of Mazda's killer styling, especially the 5 and 6.
