The Next-Generation Mercedes B-Class is Coming to the U.S.

There has been speculation that Mercedes-Benz is considering bringing the Mercedes-Benz B-Class to the U.S. Well now the automaker has confirmed that the next-generation of the small car will make it here.

The redesigned version of the car that is expected in 2011 or 2012 will have a version that is designed to meet U.S requirements.

The main question still remains: Will people actually buy a car that is smaller than the C-Class in the US? The success of the Audi A3 and the upcoming BMW 1-Series should show that there is some interest in the this country.

Chris:

Will it be an affordable reliable neat little car or will it just be the cheapest Mercedes model that snotty kids can buy just to say "I gotz me da 'Benz yo!"

TomH:

I'd no sooner buy a Benz than a Chrysler. They've become expensive cars built with American quality.

jon:

Hopefully that will change now that they are two seperate companies. The reliability of MB is always a turn off because I really do love the look of their cars.

Azjul:

I like the Benz look as well and almost bought a C240 a few years back. Then I did some research on their quality and frankly, it has been abysmal since the Chrysler acquisition - I mean just horrendous. I ended up buying a Lexus instead and have had zero problems to date. My next vehicle will be another Lexus.

Derrick:

I don't like the looks of the current B-Class I see driving around here in Canada, I am sure for the price(or even cheaper) you can get a way better looking small car that performs just as good if not better.

Alex Greene:

I don't like the design of this Merc either. It is seriously overpriced for what you get.
