The all-new 2009 Audi A4 is set to be unveiled at this September's Frankfurt Auto Show with sales starting early next year. This latest artist rendering of the new A4 draws many styling cues from the new A5.
The next A4 will share many of the same mechanicals as the new A5, which includes the same engines and transmissions. The engine will be positioned behind the front axle, which should help the handling as the car moves closer to the ideal 50-50 weight distribution.
Front wheel drive will again be the standard format with Quattro AWD as an option.

The S-Line and TDI Engine on the A4 is pretty racy and looks really badass. The S-Line and Audi catalytic converter on the A6 is definitely way, way more understated, and it isn't really a dramatic visual change from a standard A6, so that's not really a big deal. What is a big deal is that Audi feels the need to make that package standard on the A6 as an incentive for buyers when the A6 isn't going to be replaced anytime soon, saying something isn't quite right with how it is currently selling.
