Ferrari has unveiled the new Ferrari 430 Scuderia before its official unveiling this September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This lightweight version of Ferrari's F430 lineup weighs 100kg less than the F430.
The Ferrari 430 Scuderia is powered by a 4.3L V8 that puts out 510 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and has a curb weight of just 1,250kg. That means the car has a very low weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per horsepower.
The new version will also have a new exhaust system, a new traction control system and an upgrade to the Superfast F1 gearbox software that reduces gear change times to just 60 milliseconds!
The 430 Scuderia will be unveiled by Michael Schumacher on September 11.

Uhhh...Peter? Lamborghini = Volkswagen on steroids. There is only one Italian supercar maker these days, and it's Ferrari. Lamborghini can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to have the storied history in motoring and racing that Ferrari has.

A few weeks before, I happen to be in an event, and I had the chance to drive an F430 and a Murciellago on a closed track for 15 round each. While I was talking with a greek champion who was organizing the event, we came to the same conclusion:
Ferrari is like a prostitute. She is professional and knows very well what to do and how to do it to make you satisfy so it is very easy for you to enjoy her.
On the other hand, Lambo is a female professor. A very hot lady, where you have to spend much time on order to turn her on, to make her horny, and finally make her release her sexuality. If you accomplish that, it would be an unforgettable experience...
Do not judge from outside. Drive both, and then speak. In Greece we have a saying:
"Outside the ball room, everyone is a great dancer"

In America we have a saying: "Greeks who equate cars with women need to get a life, preferably away from little boys".

And in the America where we do not make stupid statements, we appreciate the feedback from people who have actually driven the cars regardless of how lowbrow their analogies are.
Personally, if I am in a race, I'd rather have the fast, quick slutty Ferrari than the Lambo that I have to work with forever only to get dumped into last place and left behind. Remember, when time is of the essence, a quick f*ck is better than a long conversation followed by drinking, smoking, porn, and then a slow ride.
(you see, there are Americans who can make a good analogy)
Anyway, if I had the money, I'd take either. Really, I would. Hell if I had the money to just buy one, I'd probably be able to afford both.

I got to drive a friend's 2004 Gallardo last year, but only on the street. I've never been in anything that's gotten so much attention in my life. Granted, it was only 20 minutes, but I can see why the rich/famous like to own the lambo's for the sheer "wow" "hey! look at me" factor.
Considering a Gallardo isn't in the same category as the Ferrari, I would still consider it an exotic, and a better looking one than the Murc as well...
Question: Will an 06 Z06 outperform this new Ferrari? oooh, let the trash talking begin!

The card looks great. Does one really need that much horsepower? I doubt there are any roads in America where one can drive it that fast.

Heck, anything over 100bhp in a standard sedan is more horespower than anyone needs if you want to break the speed limit on any highway in America.
If one has issues with a car having 500bhp, then you have to ask the question if high performance motorcycles really need 170bhp and only 375lbs...a new 1000cc sportbike can do 100mph in first gear.

I'm also interested to know if a Z06 could out perform this on the track.
As for the motorcycle comment, Ducati is producing a new model called the D16RR that has a 989cc engine and produces ("more than 200HP"). Mind you it is $70000+ for a bike.

To the question of the Z06: no, it will not outperform this. And not because it has 5 hp more, no its because its light, has more balance with the mid engine design, and for all you can say about a Corvettes aero-dynamics, its not as aero-dynamic as this. This is a bred race car, the Corvette is a muscle car that can handle too.
Sure, maybe you still get the most bang for your buck with the Corvette in terms of hp to $.
And Jon: why'd you have to start this? All it does is cause the rednecks to drink more beer, try to distort their words more, and drive when drunk. Do you know how many puppies will be ran over by rednecks in trucks thanks to you?
