The next generation Mazda 6 will debut at this years Frankfurt Auto Show in September. Sales will begin in November, in Europe. There are rumors that the new 6 will be based on the current Ford Mondeo, but with typical Mazda styling (zoom-zoom).
There is no word yet on what bodystyles will be available and if the Mazdaspeed 6 will make a return.

On top, I can see clues showing the new front fascia, including honeycomb inserts in the Mazda cold air intake, large projector-type headlamp clusters. My point is that this vehicles is extremely similar as of SRT including front and rear end. The front end especially, headlights, hood, fenders, fascia…Even the wheels are similar... I still love this car though there are great similarity with SRT..

What similarity to the SRT???????
Did you get a picture of it? You are seeing the picture above right? The SRT has rounded headlamps for one, and a much smoother, curved body. The 6 has sharper lines, more squinty (squinty? where the hell did I invent that word from?) headlamps, and a lower stance. All with a better set of wheels and (with the removal of the SRTs turbocharger) there is more power.

It looks good. Mild evolutionary changes. Now I want to know what engines will be offered, and will there be a MazdaSpeed version at the beginning.

The car drives great. The shifting is barely noticeable with Mazda Performance Parts which comes with additional features and function to be obsessed of.
