Even though gas prices in the US are at record levels, the new Ford Super Duty (F-350 and F-450) are selling like hot cakes.
Sales of the King Ranch version of the huge truck are up 53 percent from last year and the Lariat version is up 30 percent.

I'm no redneck and I'm all for diesel / hybrids, but that is a badass looking behemoth of a truck.
Though If I wanted a truck I would buy a Tundra (I know it doesn't compete with the 350/450).

Buyers of the Super Duty got work to do with them. Why would it be surprising that they would keep working regardless of gas prices? I'm sure some people buy them for looks, but my dad bought his to tow my parents' 35' 15000lb trailer. No high mpg car can tow this stuff.

Yeah, they're $60,000, but they'll do the 1/4 mile in 16+ seconds, tow 20,000lbs., haul 6,000 lbs, and carry 6 people ina lap luxury.
