2009 BMW 135i Coupe Spy Photos...The Entire Car Has Been Exposed

1seriesexposed.jpg
A few days before it is rumored that BMW is finally going to reveal it, the new BMW 135i Coupe has been caught naked.

The big news is that we can finally see the 135i badge, which confirms that BMW is indeed going to wedge the twin-turbo inline six from the 335i in this car. Unfortunately the 135i Coupe is not going to get the same dual tailpipes like the 335i.

Larry:

I can't wait to see what this thing can do!

As I've heard before, the only real problem BMW might have with the car is that it will take sales away from the 3 series, and why wouldn't it? It has the same power as its big sister the 335i, and in a lighter package. I half expected BMW to make the interior less attractive to keep sales down, but from the spy photo it looks to be the standard BMW interior, all leather. Any smart consumer would pick this up over its equivalent 3 series model (128i vs. 328i and 135i vs. 335i).

Maybe, just maybe, BMW is going to retire the 3 series for a while.

The back end of that thing is ugly and the entire vehicle is far too small. I, for one, would never buy it.

Peanut:

I have never seen such filth. Is it appropriate to be placing naked pictures on this website?

Obviously DaMinority:

lol @ Peanut

fatki:

Why is this thing so ugly!?

Rafael Fernandes:

Im not that sure it will take sales from the 3 series.. that is one of the best selling cars in europe...

What i think it will do is get more young people in bmws.. reason: price...

but.. we will see..

Gnome:

The back end reminds me of a Volvo. Now how sad is that? I might consider buying one, on the whole they're not a bad looking vehicle, but I've already got plans for my next vehicle purchase...

yuri:

I love Beamers, even though I drive a Ford. :(

"the entire vehicle is far too small. I, for one, would never buy it."

Yea, who needs something practical (and maneuverable) when you can drive a tank that gets 5 mpg and has a 400 yard turning circle just to go get groceries.

upl8n8:

You know... looking at the front to back picture... and if you couldn't see the front, I would swear that I was looking at the backend of a Ford Escort....

John Matrix:

who cares? none of you idiots can afford this anyways. You're wasting your time, go read a book or something.

Obviously DaMinority:

I know all the BMW fans will hate me for this, but it looks like somebody glued a Z4 nose onto a Hyundai Accent 3 door and added a Mitsubishi trunk with 2/3 of the current 3 series tail lights.

That's my first impression.

john:

I don't think some of you get it............This car is one of the only turbo rear drive cars you can get brand new. I don't know what the price is going to be but, cheeper than a Porsche. This car has does not have to look good for people like myself to buy it, although it looks fine to me. This is what I would call a good base to build from, not like some 140hp front drive honda! Everyone here knows how much $ you would have to jam into that to make it as fast with out blowing oil after 5k. Just my thought

islandguy:

I can afford it and I like it. Except for that sucky color.

Di:

Have u guys driven this car ? The feel of it blows the 335i away...!!!
Feels so much better!!
Its an M car posing as an entry level bimmer.
I like how it looks and its a rocket !
If ur stuck on the looks then think of it this way.
335i is like pretty girl thats ok in bed
135i is pretty...
Not as pretty maybe but will sweetly blow your mind! And sweetly not your wallet.,
I pick mine up brand new fully loaded ...tomorrow.
Monaco blue w red leather
Any of u 335erz even u M3 cats wanna race.
I'll burn ya
