he's really a good driver for someone who reviews cars.

nah...that's drifting in it's purest form, this is rally style drifting, where drifting was born. very high entry speed, using enertia and weight transfer to kick the car sideways, and let the braking effect of tyres sliding sideways to slow the car down, and using the throttle to maintain the turn in.

He is a former racing driver that's why he's so good. :)
And it is Fifth Gear NOT Top Gear. Although I like both shows :p

tiff needell is a professional certified racing driver and has raced in Lemans and sportscars and is one of the few journalist who was allowed to test drive the enzo ferrari at the media launch.
he was also the 1st journalist or test driver outside of ferrari to cheekily turn off the traction control on the Enzo and nearly spun the car around.
he was formerly from top gear, then BBC dumped most of the crew and replaced them with wisecracking TV faces. so he and others like Vicki-Butler Henderson, also a very accomplished racing driver, started fifth gear.
