Honda's Jazz/ Fit has been a great success for the company. The car known as the Fit in the U.S. had been on the market in the rest of the world before it made it here in spring 2006. Currently the car is one of the fastest selling cars in the Honda lineup and is hampered by the fact that Honda can not build enough of them. How often do you see a Fit at a Honda dealership?
The new Jazz/Fit is already taking shape. Spy photographers have caught a few mules testing in Europe. Now Auto Express has two artist renderings of what they believe the new car will look like when it is revealed this fall at the Tokyo Auto Show.
The car in these pictures does not stray far from the current design. The front end has a lower grille and the headlights maintain the similar shape of the current model. The width of the car has increased by 20mm and the length has increased by 50mm. The current model has been successful because of its class leading interior room and its ingenious seat configurations. The new larger dimensions should make the interior even more spacious.
An upgraded interior trim and restyled dashboard should also refresh the car.
There is no word on the exact engine lineup. A diesel engine is rumored, although the U.S. will probably not get it.

cant bring those cute japaneses care to america because americans are too large to fit inside. It truly is a shame because there are many more models there to chose from... both in japan and in europe that are more fuel efficient and fun to drive.

That thing looks horrible. Hopefully it is just a photoshop joke because it looks much worse than the current model.

One thing I notice driving in Europe is the roads are so narrow. I would buy a very small car if I lived there. Its common in Ireland to have one side of the car in the dirt to fit past cars from the other direction on local streets. Roads in the US are much wider so very large cars feel right here.
Americans have got fatter over the past two decades but the Britts are not far behind.

Even the image title is named as “Honda Jazz Facelift - 1 & 2″. Move your mouse to the pic and wait for the tooltip to appear. I dont think its an all new Jazz (autoexpress pic). The design looks worse than the current one, especially the rear. The japanese one looks more realistic, but I hope they can ditch the awful smiling Honda grille design.

Has to be photoshop 'imagination'. Look at the license plate, it's not in the proper angle perspective as the car.

I have trouble getting a question answered. Can anyone point me to a good, Honda technical answer as to why there is no sunroof offered in the Fit? Second, can I put in an aftermarket roof? I keep hearing about 'structural integrity' issues, but what is that? Rollover, front impact, dangerous stuff? My sunroof salesperson is certainly willing to put one in (Webasto Hollandia). What ya think? Thanks for any help. Jimbo

That is NOT the new Jazz. The new Jazz can be seen here:

If the link above doesn't work, then google '2009 honda fit'. It's already being sold in Japan.
