2008 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan...Impresses More than the 5-Door?!

In the past week or so there have been numerous photos of the new WRX 5-door on the internet. It all started with a controversial Motor Trend showing. Since its unveiling the 5-door has received a lot of criticism for its underwhelming styling.

Well now the sedan version has been unveiled. It looks much better than the recent pics of the 5-door version. Maybe it is just the color. The styling of the sedan isn't revolutionary and rather uninspiring, but at least it is a lot more pleasing to the eye than the 5-door.

The specs for the powertrain have finally been released: The WRX's 2.5L turbocharged flat-four still features the same 224hp and 226 lb-ft. of torque, but those numbers now arrive earlier on the tach. The base 2.5L has 170hp a 3hp drop, but torque moves up 4 to 170 lb-ft.

Both cars will be shown at the upcoming New York Auto Show.

yuck yuck yuck.

I have never owned a subaru because for every person who loves them, there is someone standing there telling me that they are costly to own. True or not, they handle extremely well in the winter. (I am from Vermont) Many people I know have one...or two!

But what the hell is this crap!? Did they dig through the trash at Kia or Hyundai to find the designs that those auto makers threw away? I would rather have a new Sonata than this.

Sorry Subaru...."REFRESH PAGE AND TRY AGAIN".

i don't get it
why make it fatter?
06 ftw
