The Mercedes-Benz SLK is due for a facelift. The revised car will be revealed at the Frankfurt Auto Show this September. Auto Express has posted some of the first shots of the car during testing.
As you can tell the revised car will get a very mild refresh. The main changes will be slight modifications to the nose area and the rear end. There may be a few changes to the interior as well. The powertrain is expected to carryover as well.

In history of the Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class, it is a luxury roadster built in Germany in 1997. I know the name was chosen to reflect the company's intentions for the car - that it be Sportlich (sporty), Leicht (light), and Kompakt (compact). Now that they made some innovation from the two old slk such as the Mercedes clutch disc, I wonder if SLK still stands for what it was defined for... As a MB enthusiast for so many years, I really feel bad about it...
