Only a few days before the actual unveiling, Hyundai's Genesis Concept pictures have been released. The concept will be officially unveiled at the New York Auto Show next month.
Even though the car is labeled as a "concept" word is that the car will be released sometime in 2008. The rear-wheel-drive sedan will look very close to the concept and will start under 30k.
According to The Car Connection:
The Genesis concept is formed around a rear-wheel-drive architecture, a first for an American-market Hyundai. With a weight distribution of 53:47, a new "Tau" V-8 engine with more than 300 horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission, Hyundai says the Genesis will accelerate to 60 mph in less than 6.0 seconds and will reach a top speed of 130 mph.
There are also rumors that the car could be offered with a 3.6L V-6 and a hybrid powertrain.
The car still looks a lot like the new Camry/ ES350.

I like it, especially those headlights and the front end lines. I think Hyundai has come a very long way and it is starting to show in its sedans especially. My Bro-inlaw has a new sonata and its very nice and peppy to drive..
I dont care if it looks like a Toyota Cam or lexus whatever, if its going to have a 300+HP v8 and rear wheel drive, its already worth sub 30K

what has happened to your brains?
I'm middle-eastern and I'm wondering how would you let koreans and other east asians to copy and sell american musics , movies and softwares in huge quantities , and threaten your industries , and then you support them by buying and glorifying their trashes?

Hyundai pirates PC Software?! WELL! I never!!
Dude, wtf. A good car is a good car. Hyundai makes some good cars. Maybe not BMW material, but still good cars. You think that illegal activities in their country of origin makes these cars bad? Please, do explain. Especially since their plants are opening jobs in the USA.
And believe it or not, US citizens pirate software and music all the time. Just ask RIAA. Ford isn't losing business because of illegal DVD rips.

Exactly right! and why stop there? Return all those made in east asians and clean-out the stores.
Don't ever buy German and Japanese products. Remember holocaust and Pearl Harbor?
What about Britain? Remember how they used to colonize America?
And we must keep constant look-out for all Arabs, you never know when and how 2nd(3rd?) terrorist attack might come.
France - ungreatful bastards.
Mexico - illigal aliens taking away our jobs.
China - needless to say.
etc.....
