Dodge Challenger Production Version will Debut next Feburary!

Dodge has announced that the production version of the 2009 Dodge Challenger will be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show next Feb 2008.

The car is also going to be produced at the Brampton, Ontario plant. The Chrysler 300, Dodge Magnum and Charger are also produced at the same plant.

Can't wait to see a comparison of the 2009 Mustang, Camaro and Challenger.

i wish dodge would produce this car were the "average" working man/woman could afford one. not everyone in this world has an endless supply of money laying around, if this car is over the 45k mark then i will be forced to buy another mustang

PJV:

Like the new Camaro, just drop dead gorgeous. I wish we would get this stuff in Europe but the taxes penalise too much the V8 pushrod formula despite their superior fuel economy and emissions.

I read somewhere the new Camaro will have a base price of 25000 dollars, probably the 6 cilinder, and fully equiped V8 around 40000, Chrysler will match the prices (more or less a few hundred dollars) for sure.

Luke:

3.5L Base
New 5.7L Hemi
6.1L/6.4L Hemi SRT8

So the 3.5L should be really affordable, and the 5.7L should be at the edge of most consumers ($35,000 range)

Camaro should have a base V6 also, and then the LS3 and a new larger V8.

I wish they'd go back to making the classic Dodge Charger, I mean you can barley find them any more.

Tommy Boy:

Made in Canada?!? Damn that kills me inside.

Damon:

Hope the manual transmission is offered with V6. Will feel torquie and powerful.

Arthur:

The challenger will be the same price as the charger base prices. Simply look at dodge.com and see the srt-8 model is almost the same as the charger version, so figure that as the base. Once again, they said they'd match the mustang prices, and went over a few grand. Dodge charges too much for too little. Camaro should be the same base prices (Or close) to the Carlo. Rumor this is the last year for the Carlo as well, since the new pony will be the camaro. Don't buy Dodge people, they're nothing like they use to be, and they always seem to let people down.

the cars are fantastic
