xB: The new car is larger than the previous version and finally has more power. The car has been stretched and features the same 158 horsepower, 2.4l engine in the tC and Camry. The extreme boxiness from the last generation has been rounded a bit.
xD: This car replaces the slow selling xA, but it is built off the Yaris platform. It is also bigger than the old car and uses the same 128 horsepower, 1.8l engine as the Corolla. The rear seats also can slide back and forth six inches for extra legroom.
Both cars will come with a 160 watt stereo which is specifically designed for use with the iPod. They also only come in one trim level with the transmission type and stability control as the only options.
I think both cars look better than the previous versions. They look a little more upmarket. Pricing has yet to be released.

finally getting rid of that tapping, high reving, poor power and fuel economy 1.5 liter!!! i got rid of my scion xa rs 1.0 because of the engine. previous i had a 1990 corrolla and a 2001 corolla, and i now went back to the corolla with my 2006 and love it. other than that that i love the scions with there snug seats, good sound system, and nice set of standard features. i paid just 15,500 for my special edition xa and it had a power moon roof, traction control, stability control, abs, 17" rims, led tail light, powdered coated grill, red neon interior lights, and red sport seats. i miss the car but the corolla was the better choice. hopefully the new scions will be up the quality of other toyotas and need oil changes at 5k instead of 3k.

Hey man, that Xa of yours must have been a lemon, or you beat the heck out of it. I own an 05, and my son drives it, and its an automatic. The car runs really strong for a 1.5L. It also gets 38 mpg on the highway. The only thing we've done to it is put an aftermarket/loud exhaust system on it, (because my son insisted). I like the car, and if I had to reconsider my decision to buy that Scion Xa, I would chose to buy it again. One more thing, that Xa has the same engine as the new Yaris...also a good car.
